A simple monthly routine for landlords

Frequently asked questions

What is a monthly rent receipt?

A receipt for one month's rent, showing the period covered (for example October 1 to 31), the amount, how it was paid and the landlord's signature. Landlords usually issue one every month when rent arrives.

Can I make 12 rent receipts at once?

Should I give a receipt if rent is paid by bank transfer?

It isn't always required, but it helps. A receipt states which month the transfer covers, which a bank statement doesn't, and in some states tenants can ask for one.

What if the tenant pays late or only part of the rent?

Open “More options”, enter the total rent due and any late fee. The receipt shows the balance still owed, so next month's receipt can start from the right number.

Is there a printable rent receipt book?
