Verify a rent receipt

Received a rent receipt made with our tool and need to check it, for example as a landlord, property manager or caseworker? Here's what the receipt can and can't tell you.

Free receipts

Free receipts are created on the issuer's own device, so we don't hold a copy and can't confirm their contents. Each one prints a unique receipt ID and the date it was generated in the footer. A receipt generated long after the payment date it shows deserves a closer look.

Premium receipts

Receipts issued from a Landlord Premium account carry a verification QR code. Scanning it opens a page here confirming the issue date and the issuing account. Verification lookups open with Premium.

Best evidence of payment

  • Ask the landlord directly to confirm the payment.
  • Ask for a bank statement, cancelled check, money-order stub or payment-app record alongside the receipt.
